About the Opportunity:

Our team is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Accountant to manage a portfolio of commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, including experience with Funds and/or Joint Ventures.

  • This role involves overseeing 3rd party property teams, reviewing financial reports, and providing support to stakeholders.
  • The Commercial Property Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as managing loan compliance and lender requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare unaudited financial reports, annual budgets, and quarterly budget re-projections.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage cash flow, rent rolls, lease maintenance, and financial statements.
  • Loan Compliance: Monitor and manage loan compliance, including debt service coverage ratio calculations.
  • Tax Accounting: Calculate and process tax basis amortization and depreciation.

Skill & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in property accounting, with majority in commercial real estate.
  • Experience with Fair Value GAAP, Tax Accounting, IFRS, TRS (Taxable REIT Subsidiaries), and tenant recoveries (CAM).
  • Proficient in financial software systems applications, Microsoft Windows software programs, and MRI experience a plus.
