Job Overview

This role involves working as an experienced Oracle DBA with 5-8 years of expertise to join our dynamic and friendly Development Team.

The successful candidate will make significant contributions to the mobile payments industry by bringing engineering excellence in innovating new features and functions in customer-centric applications.

You will be part of a very innovative, dedicated, and high-performance team and need to match their level of excellence and thoroughness in delivering world-class banking applications.

Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (12c/19c and later) in Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Cluster Management: Configure RAC (Real Application Clusters), ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and clustering for high availability.
  • Network Services: Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity.
  • Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor database health and availability using OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and custom monitoring scripts.
  • Advanced SQL Tuning: Perform advanced SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management.
  • Performance Diagnostics: Utilize AWR, ASH, ADDM reports for performance diagnostics and tuning.
  • Schema Optimization: Optimize schema design, partitioning strategies, and storage allocation.
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC.
  • Standby Database Management: Configure and manage standby databases (physical/logical) for DR readiness.
  • Backup Integrity: Validate backup integrity and conduct regular DR drills.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration.
  • Software Skills: Strong knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, SQL & PL/SQL development, Performance tuning and troubleshooting (AWR, ASH, ADDM), Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Familiarity with cloud-hosted Oracle DB solutions (OCI, AWS RDS, Azure).
  • Security Knowledge: Knowledge of database security standards & compliance frameworks.
  • DevOps Experience: Exposure to DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Git).
