We are seeking an experienced AS400 developer to join our team. As an AS400 developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using AS400 technology.
Job Description:- This is a challenging role that requires extensive knowledge of AS400 technology, including RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2, as well as ILE and modular programming.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in writing comprehensive unit test cases and plans, and be able to execute and coordinate SIT and UAT with another vendor.
- A strong understanding of troubleshooting during various phases of development is essential.
- The candidate should also have reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs.
- Must-Have Skills:
- Minimum 5-10 years of development industry experience with exposure to the complete life cycle of development at least once on CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.
- Extensive knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2), ILE which also means working knowledge of modular programming in ILE-RPG including modules, service programs etc.
- Appreciation and knowledge of effort estimation, unit testing.
- Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of development.
- Reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs.
- Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.
- Good-To-Have Skills:
- Experience in insurance domain (preferred in life insurance domain).
- Ability to work as part of a larger team to ensure satisfactory deliveries.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, flexible, responsible and a desire for quality.
