Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AS400 programming and a deep understanding of interfacing objectswith the ability to integrate AS400 systems seamlessly with external applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
- Develop and maintain interfacing objects to ensure smooth integration between AS400 and other enterprise applications.
- Work on CL programs, RPGLE, COBOL, SQL/400, and DB2/400.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing AS400 applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Ensure application stability, performance, and scalability.
- Support deployment, upgrades, and production incident resolution.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in AS400/iSeries application development.
- Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, COBOL/400, SQL/400, DB2/400.
- Expertise in interfacing objects and knowledge of how AS400 integrates with external applications.
- Experience with APIs, middleware, and integration tools.
- Good understanding of batch processing and job scheduling on AS400.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
