Automation Engineer

About this role:

We are seeking an experienced automation engineer to join our team. As an automation engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing automated test scripts using Python.

You will collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and test scenarios, write and execute test cases to validate software functionality and performance, and utilize testing frameworks like PyTest or Robot Framework for automation execution.

In addition, you will develop or enhance CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests, analyze test results, identify bugs, and work closely with developers for resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong Understanding of Software QA Methodologies: You must have a strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Experience with Testing Frameworks: Experience with testing frameworks like PyTest or Robot Framework is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Automated Test Scripts: Utilize Python to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to understand product requirements and test scenarios.
  • Write and Execute Test Cases: Write and execute test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Use Testing Frameworks: Use testing frameworks like PyTest or Robot Framework for automation execution.
  • Develop CI/CD Pipelines: Develop or enhance CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests.
  • Analyze Test Results: Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work closely with developers for resolutions.
  • Utilize Scala: Utilize Scala to interact with back-end systems or for custom test utilities.
  • Contribute to Test Planning: Contribute to test planning, estimation, and reporting efforts.
  • Maintain Documentation: Maintain documentation related to test strategies and processes.
