Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Gearbox Lead to join our team at DCS Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating existing gearbox components and production designs to modify and optimize them to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and modify existing gearbox components and production designs to meet customer requirements.
- Develop detailed engineering specifications for Industrial Gear & gearbox components, including gear, shafts, bearings, housing, lubrication system, material selection, heat treatment, and secondary processing.
- Work with the entire supply chain to launch products into production, ensuring total cost and quality objectives are met.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and documentation for new products.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve technical issues on existing designs.
- Manage manpower and monitor inspection time according to time study.
- Develop knowledge of NPD Costing and New Product development.
- Prepare Work Instructions, Production Alerts, Standard Operating Procedures, and ensure all dispatch production components are handled responsibly.
- Deploy manpower effectively and calibrate measuring instruments and gauges.
- Ensure product quality meets customer requirements and maintain heat treatment distortion study and 9-point study records.
