About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled API architect to design and implement innovative solutions using Kong and IBM DataPower.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solution designs, API specs, and low-level architectures
  • Foster expertise in diverse API management platforms, with a focus on Kong and IBM DataPower
  • Work on cloud deployments using Kubernetes
  • Migrate APIs from IBM DataPower to Kong
  • Apply knowledge of API design standards, patterns, and best practices
  • Implement API security protocols (OAuth, OpenID etc.)
  • Design automated unit testing, build, and deployment tools (JUnit, sonarqube, selenium, maven, Jenkins, CI/CD)
  • Estimate projects using standard techniques (use case point, functional point, work breakdown, story point)
  • Possess industry benchmark certifications (AWS Certified Architect) or publish whitepapers/blogs on technology

Requirements:

  • 7-14 years of experience in API development and architecture
  • Deep knowledge of Kong and IBM DataPower
  • Experience with AWS cloud and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of API design standards and security protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
