The Role

We seek an experienced Scrap Metal Trader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sourcing, negotiating and closing deals, with a deep understanding of market trends and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing: Identify and source high-quality scrap metal from industrial manufacturers, demolition companies and recycling facilities.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while seeking out new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on market trends, pricing fluctuations and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation and logistics of scrap metal shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Skills: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals; excellent negotiation and communication skills; strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
