Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures.

  • Create optimal data pipeline architecture for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources.
  • Implement internal process improvements to automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build necessary infrastructure using SQL and AWS big data technologies for optimal data processing and analysis.
  • Develop data tools for analytics and data scientist team members to support them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to enhance functionality in our data systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in either Scala or Python, expertise in Spark, and experience with performance tuning and optimization.
  • DBT (Data Build Tool) experience for data transformations and data modeling is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with big data tools: HDFS/S3, Spark/Flink, Hive, Hbase, Kafka/Kinesis, etc.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Elasticsearch and Cassandra/Mongodb.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS/GCP.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with structured/unstructured datasets.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
