Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Drainage Design Expert to join our team in Bengaluru/Noida. As a key member of our Development team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and detailed design advice on planning and design issues related to Highways, Public Realm, Storm Drainage, and Foul water networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day project management in the delivery of concept studies and strategies with hands-on design leading to planning applications, detailed design, and construction drawings.
  • Internal client liaison, assisting in the preparation of fee proposals and financial control of projects when acting as a package project manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme, and technical standards and meet QA, CDM, Sustainability, and HSE requirements.
  • Direct line management, including mentoring and managing early career professionals to ensure technical excellence is maintained in everything we deliver.
  • Preparation of fee proposals, and involvement in business development activities.
  • Helping maintain the culture and positive working environment in the team.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A significant amount of experience in drainage infrastructure design (foul and surface water) including being fully conversant in hydraulic modelling using MicroDrainage/Info Drainage.
  • Recent UK design experience essential, particularly compliant with Building Regulations, Sewers for Adoption, and submission of design packs under Sections 104 and 106/107 of the Water Industry Act.
  • Design of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS).
  • Proficiency in MicroDrainage/Info Drainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to be part of a successful close-knit team.
  • Experience and interest in mentoring junior team members.
  • Cultural awareness and an open mind is essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team.
