Junior Accountant Job Description

Overview of the Junior Accountant Role

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Junior Accountant located in Ernakulam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring the timely reconciliation of bank statements. Additionally, they will assist with audits, process invoices, prepare balance sheets, and handle payroll efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure their accuracy.
  2. Prepare regular financial reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  3. Reconcile bank statements promptly and accurately.
  4. Assist with audits and provide necessary support to the team.
  5. Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
  6. Prepare balance sheets and other financial documents as required.
  7. Handle payroll tasks efficiently and accurately.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Financial record-keeping and report preparation skills.
  • Experience with handling payroll and processing invoices.
  • General understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and basic computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is advantageous.
