Senior Software Project Manager
About the Role:This is a high-level leadership position that requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to deliver software projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Drive accurate project estimations, including effort, timeline, and resource planning.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Minimum 18+ years of industry experience in software engineering, with at least 7+ years in managerial roles overseeing teams and projects.
- Experience leading end-to-end delivery, meeting account objectives, managing application outsourcing, and managed services engagement for large insurance clients.
- Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Implementation of cloud migration and conversion projects.
- Experience with Micro Focus tools and COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 for z/OS, Assembler, PL/I, Rexx, flat/sequential files, GDGs, and VSAM.
