Principal Electrical Engineer Opportunity

Our company seeks experienced electrical engineers who possess expertise in control systems, drive selection, and safety compliance for semiconductor capital equipment.

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge solutions for motors, drives, and motion systems for semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Work closely with industrial I/O systems; knowledge of B&R PLCs is highly beneficial.
  • Contribute to comprehensive risk assessments per SEMI S14, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL standards.
  • Design AC/DC power distribution systems that meet NFPA 79, SEMI S22, and relevant UL standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and clarify technical requirements, load/motion integration for new and existing projects.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, leading teams when required.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed electrical schematics, I/O lists, cable routing diagrams, and BOMs using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Effectively manage product data in PLM systems.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support for control panels, drives, and I/O systems.
  • Support FAT execution, customer acceptance, and TUV or third-party safety audits.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of drive selection, motor sizing, and motion control principles.
  • Experience with SEMI S14 risk assessment, EN ISO 13849, and SIL/PL compliance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for drives, control circuits, and industrial I/O.
  • Strong understanding of SEMI Standards, NFPA, and UL compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic PLC programming knowledge: experience with B&R and Siemens PLCs is advantageous.
  • Field commissioning and customer support experience.
