Job Opportunity: Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. This role will involve managing and maintaining our core databases, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability while supporting day-to-day operations, deployments, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) both on-premises and on cloud (AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL)
  • Monitor database performance and tune queries, indexes, and configurations to ensure optimal response times using tools like CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Grafana, or pgAdmin
  • Ensure data security, integrity, backup, and recovery processes are in place and regularly tested using both traditional and cloud-native approaches (snapshots, automated backups, cross-region replication)
  • Automate routine database maintenance and deployment tasks using CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or AWS-native services
  • Support deployments by reviewing database scripts, migrations, and data patches for both on-prem and cloud environments
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues in production and non-production environments, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and cloud integration errors

We require the successful candidate to have hands-on experience with MySQL, expertise in database monitoring and observability tools, and a deep understanding of query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning in high-transaction environments.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
