Senior Fraud Analyst Role Overview

\

The Senior Fraud Analyst contributes as a fraud SME and supports data, ML models, and Gen AI technology and reporting analysts of Investigation & Loss Mitigation.

\

This role requires a fast-paced, high-performance team environment where creativity and common sense result in great solutions.

\
  • Hands-on experience in Analytics and Data Science is required for this position.
  • Model Development and exposure to Fraud detection are essential skills.
  • A good understanding of LLMs and other new techniques is necessary.
  • Data deep dive, Insight generation, Dashboard reporting and presentation skill are expected from the ideal candidate.
  • End-to-end project delivery and stakeholder management are key responsibilities.

  • Identifying valuable data sources and automating collection processes.
  • Analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
  • Combining models through ensemble modeling.
  • Presenting information using data visualization techniques.
  • Proposing solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Collaborating with engineering and product development teams.
  • Creating and enforcing policies for effective data management.
  • Assisting with reports and data extraction when needed.
  • Formulating techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
  • Identifying troubleshoot data-related problems and working on modifications to rectify the same.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring fraud trends, investigating emerging threats and developing strategies to manage those threats.
  • Building predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
  • Optimizing database systems.
  • Monitoring and analyzing information and data systems (Indicator Management, Loss ratio pattern) to enhance them.
  • Reviewing control environments to identify gaps and creating insightful analysis to support implementation of new controls.
  • Providing insight as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Process and control fraud leakages.
  • Developing complex technical rules/scenarios to maximize effectiveness of fraud detection and prevention programs. Analyzing fraud detection alerts and assessing need for further investigation.
  • Research/Survey activity regarding Fraud and Risk.
  • Analytics related to claims/Dashboard reporting/Presentation Department/Content writing/Framework preparation.
  • Managing and optimizing processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modelling, visualization and communication deliverables.

Educational Qualifications:

  1. M.Sc in Statistics, Economics or Engineering degree or Professional education in Data Science.
  2. Good knowledge of Python, R, SQL, MS Excel, and SQL database & coding.
  3. At least a bachelor's degree in mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics.
