Key Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in designing and developing data-intensive applications.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with cloud native technologies, Amazon Web Services, and modern data warehouses like Databricks and dbt.

This role involves building and maintaining high-quality features independently, focusing on backend and data engineering.

You will be part of an emerging team that is passionate about leveraging marketing suites, applying data structures/algorithms, and architecting workflow management systems using Airflow.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to design and develop data warehouses per the business nature, utilizing modern tools and technologies.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend and data engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting with production experience.
  • 3+ years of proven experience building cloud native data-intensive applications, Amazon Web Service experience is essential.
  • Experience designing and developing data warehouses per the business nature using modern data warehouses like Databricks and dbt.
  • Highly proficient in architecting and implementing workflow management systems using Airflow.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining Spark applications.
  • Understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with observability systems like Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Strong experience building CI/CD processes, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins are preferred.
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback, particularly during code reviews.
