We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies and be able to design and execute effective test plans. They will also be proficient in defect tracking tools and be able to analyze business requirements to identify potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to identify areas for testing
  • Design and execute detailed test plans, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Identify and report defects using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Good understanding of different types of testing: functional, regression, integration, UAT, smoke, sanity, exploratory testing
