Job Description:

A cricket coach is responsible for fostering continuous growth and achievement of students, developing desirable personal and social attributes, fair play, acceptance of success and failure, and cooperation in group situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Be approachable and treat students fairly and objectively
  • Inculcate discipline in and out of training sessions
  • Treat children with dignity and respect
  • Promote maximum student participation and assist in analysing and improving game skill, fitness & performance
  • Monitor progress constantly and adjust pace accordingly
  • Conduct checks for improperly dressed students during SPA
  • Keep a check on basic hygiene
SPA Functioning:
  • Develop curriculum plans and participate regularly in the Curriculum workshop
  • Implement SPA training sessions, rules, and scouting programme suitable to the sport as per the SPA curriculum
  • Assume responsibility for equipment and materials issued
  • Talent Scout/Selection for school team
  • Submit assessment reports and monthly activities report
In-Class Conduct:
  • Arrive at workstation, appropriately dressed, at least 5 minutes before the beginning of SPA class
  • Ensure systematic and organized arrival and remain until all students have dispersed
  • Conduct and cover all components as per the pedagogy of Lesson Plan
  • Chain previous sessions to the current one
  • Give clear instructions, demonstrate skills systematically using part-whole method
General Administration:
  • Attend PTMs and maintain individual and team assessment records
  • Assemble brief scouting report for every game and review it with team at practice sessions
  • Report injuries of participants to the Assistant. SPA Coordinator
  • Submit agenda points for MOM in writing at least 2 days in advance
Maintenance of Records:
  • Maintain record on intimation follow up with parent/Grade level Coordinator on students abstract/absent for 3 sessions or more
School Policies:
  • Adhere to all policies affecting the coach and the students
  • Fulfil all contractual obligations
  • Attend all meetings convened by the SPA Assistant. Coordinator/ SPA Coordinator /Principal

The ideal candidate will be approachable, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
