Job Opportunity:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled developer with expertise in Apache Spark and Scala programming language.
  • You will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale distributed data processing pipelines using Apache Spark and related technologies.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Spark Core, Spark SQL, and Spark Streaming along with Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and other BigData technologies.
  • Familiarity with Data warehousing and ETL concepts and techniques is necessary.
  • Database concepts and SQL/NoSQL operations are also required.
  • UNIX shell scripting is an added advantage for scheduling/running application jobs.
  • The selected candidate will work on project development life cycle activities, maintenance/support projects, Agile environment, scrum daily standups, sprint planning reviews, and retrospectives.
  • The ability to translate project requirements into technical solutions that meet project quality standards is crucial.
  • The successful candidate will be able to work in a team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environments, collaborate with upstream/downstream functional teams, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues.
  • A strong problem-solving and analytical skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment with the ability to stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends in Development are necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Scala programming language with strong knowledge and skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Spark Core, Spark SQL, and Spark Streaming.
  • Familiarity with Data warehousing and ETL concepts and techniques.
  • Database concepts and SQL/NoSQL operations.
  • UNIX shell scripting.
  • Project development life cycle activities, maintenance/support projects, Agile environment, scrum daily standups, sprint planning reviews, and retrospectives.
