Job Title: Internal Auditor

The primary objective of this role is to evaluate and enhance the risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across the gold loan and financial operations. This requires hands-on expertise in concurrent audits, gold audits, RBI compliance reviews, and process assurance within the NBFC/Banking domain.

  • Key responsibilities include planning, executing, and reporting on internal audits covering operational, compliance, and financial processes.
  • Additionally, assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems, identify control weaknesses, and suggest improvements.
  • Review control over cash flow, accounting, investments, and loan approvals/disbursements, verify accuracy and completeness of financial records, and review revenue recognition, interest income, and provisioning policies.
  • Ensure alignment of financial reports with accounting standards and regulatory norms, monitor loan portfolio performance related processes, including NPA identification, provisioning norms, and recovery actions.

Other key tasks include auditing processes in departments like HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and Collections, ensuring systems and procedures are being followed consistently.

This position also involves conducting concurrent audits of branches, gold loan operations, disbursal's, and collections, performing gold audits – valuation checks, purity verification, vault & custody audits, and ensuring RBI regulatory compliance audits, including KYC, AML, Fair Practice Code, and reporting timelines.

Requirements:
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or Post Graduate in Finance/Commerce.
  • 8–10 years of experience in internal audit within Banking/NBFC sector.
  • Proven expertise in concurrent audits, gold audits, and RBI audits.
  • Strong understanding of Banking /NBFC operations, gold loan processes, KYC/AML compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in fraud detection, process reviews, and risk control assessments.
