Job Title:

Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual testing of our SaaS Product
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining manual test suites for the product
  • Be the final gatekeeper before live deployment
  • Work with developers, designers, and product managers
  • Study product documents and specifications and prepare test cases
  • Defect logging and tracking through Defect Management tools
  • Analyze, debug, and troubleshoot issues with setup/configuration, Database, and servers
  • Configure and maintain testing environments capable of simulating various device-specific configurations, form factors, and infrastructure failures
  • Evaluate and improve product usability across desktop and mobile web platforms

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • MCA or B.Tech in Computer Science/IT engineering
  • Must have 2-5 years of experience in software testing
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and willingness to go the extra mile when required
  • Hands-on experience on LAMP environment testing
  • Good problem-solving, analytical skills, and communication skills
  • Experience with both traditional SDLC and agile/scrum development
  • Knowledge of different types of testing (functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, system etc.)
  • Knowledge of performing database testing, script testing, and browser testing
  • Hands-on experience on issue-tracking platform like JIRA
  • Brief knowledge of web concepts (HTML, webservers), relational and non-relational database management systems
  • Brief knowledge and experience in automation testing and tools like Selenium is an added advantage
  • Experience with web service testing (REST and JSON, HTTP)
  • Brief knowledge of Jmeter for API testing, Load testing, and distributed testing and its monitoring at both server and application level
  • Experience on at least one web security tool
