Key Role: Technical Audit Manager

Job Description
  • Deliver assigned audit work in accordance with global internal audit methodology.
  • Scope audits, develop test plans, conduct testing, create associated work papers and contribute to themes and insights.
  • Support quarterly reporting to management and the board by updating data, writing sections of reports, and developing insights and themes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering, possibly with a second degree like a master's or MBA.
  2. 6-10 years of experience in internal audit and/or other relevant fields.
  3. Professional certifications such as member of the institute of internal auditors, IT certifications, chartered engineer or OSHA lead auditor.
Knowledge Requirements
  • Internal audit methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Business knowledge including understanding of process industries, petrochemical industries and oil and gas industries.
  • Functional knowledge including understanding of key support functions such as finance, HR, IT, legal, tax, compliance and company secretariat.
Skills
  • Internal auditing, risk and controls skills.
  • Fact-based and attention to detail.
  • Analytic skills - ability to apply clarity of thought to audit work.
  • Sound judgement - ability to identify issues that need further testing and understanding of own limitations.
Experience
  • Sound internal audit and/or other relevant experience.
  • Experience in business with direct or indirect contributions in quality assurance, internal controls or internal compliance functions.
