Senior AWS Redshift Database Administrator

As a senior-level database administrator for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Redshift, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of Redshift clusters and supporting various AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Environment Administration: Administer and maintain scalable AWS cloud environments and applications for data organization.
  • Software Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements.
  • Database Expertise: Manage extensive database experience with AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, and MySQL.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot AWS Services and DB and Server issues.
  • Environment Performance Optimization: Maintain environment performance by monitoring system requirements, installing upgrades, and analyzing system performance.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Develop knowledge of day-to-day database operations, deployments, and development.
  • Performance Tuning: Experience in Snowflake and SQL performance tuning.
  • Programming Skills: Knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting or Python programming languages.
  • System Migration: Migrate systems from one AWS cloud to another AWS account.
  • DB and Server Troubleshooting: Perform DB and Server troubleshooting tasks.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, analyze, and perform performance tuning.
  • System Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot system hardware, software, operating, and system management systems.
  • Incident and Change Management: Manage incident and change management processes.
  • Release Management and Code Deployment: Release management and code deployment tasks.
  • After-Hour Support: Provide after-hour on-call support.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup: Test disaster recovery policies and procedures, complete backups, and maintain documentation.
  • System Upgrade and Enhancement: Upgrade systems and services, develop, test, evaluate, and install enhancements and new software.
