Job Description

The mechanical thermal team plays a pivotal role in the Hardware organization, responsible for designing complex electro-mechanical systems. This encompasses central office networking products, outdoor mobility equipment, high-performance thermal solutions, and intricate PCB assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing electro-mechanical packaging of standalone and rack mount chassis systems used in telecom industries.
  • Conceiving chassis architecture, establishing optimized PCB size(s), developing sheet-metal enclosures, and power shelf design.
  • Performing detailed MCAD product layout studies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Developing detail fabrication drawings and assembly drawings required for project prototype release.

Special emphasis is placed on product design for low cost and ease of manufacture.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Pro/e or CREO.
  • Good command on tolerance analysis and DFM/DFA concepts.
  • Thermal simulation validation experience would be an added advantage.
  • 13 years of hands-on design experience with BE or MTech in Mechanical branch.
