Senior Data Business Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our organization as a Data Business Analyst.

• Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining databases that support business operations.
• Manage users and user roles within the organization. Ensure that all employees have access to relevant data while maintaining confidentiality and security standards.
• Provide quality assurance of imported data, working closely with quality assurance analysts if necessary. Evaluate data for accuracy and completeness before using it in decision-making processes.
• Commission and decommission data sets according to organizational needs. This involves selecting appropriate data sources, ensuring data integrity, and validating data against established criteria.
• Process confidential data and information according to established guidelines. Handle sensitive data with care and maintain confidentiality throughout all stages of processing.
• Develop reports and analyses to help inform business decisions. Use data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data insights in an easily understandable format.
• Design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata. Ensure that all reports and analyses are secure, reliable, and meet organizational requirements.
• Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to determine data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization. Develop strategies to ensure data consistency and accuracy across the organization.
• Assess tests and implement new or upgraded software, assisting with strategic decisions on new systems. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing software and recommend improvements or replacements as needed.
• Generate reports from single or multiple systems. Use various data sources to provide comprehensive insights and support informed decision-making.
• Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports. Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, formatting, and presentation.
• Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems. Assess the impact of changes on data quality and report performance.
• Train end-users on new reports and dashboards. Provide hands-on training and support to ensure that users can effectively utilize new tools and resources.
• Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. Assist with developing data management strategies and implementing best practices for data maintenance.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in computer science or a related field.
• Work experience as a Data Business Analyst or in a related field, preferably with expertise in data analysis, reporting, and database management.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases, providing recommendations for software solution improvements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into nontechnical terms, facilitating clear communication among stakeholders.
• High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Understanding of addressing and metadata standards, including data classification, categorization, and tagging.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
