Operations Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor to lead our production team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all production activities to ensure timely output and efficient resource utilization.
  • Supervise job placement, material flow, and stage-wise movement during fabrication and assembly.
  • Develop and implement layout plans for new lines/projects including fixtures, gauges, and equipment installations.
  • Manage and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine logs, and breakdown records.
  • Ensure smooth in-process inventory management and maintain an efficient flow across the production chain.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and design teams for seamless onboarding of new products and structure types.
  • Monitor and analyze production costs and resource utilization to meet predefined goals.
  • Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Drive lean manufacturing practices, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Guarantee adherence to quality benchmarks and industry certifications specific to solar structure manufacturing.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related metal fabrication industry.
  • Proficient in managing production machinery, tooling, and quality control processes.
  • Solid understanding of solar mounting structures and associated fabrication methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and production planning tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage shop floor teams and workflows.
