Observability Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Observability Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable observability platforms, driving adoption of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop secure and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead the adoption of APM tools with standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Create onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrate observability tooling to deliver unified insights.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom synthetic monitoring solutions where needed.
  • Contribute to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring.
  • Drive documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools is a plus.

Secondary Skills:

Playwright Scripting
