Senior Associate Role

The Senior Associate plays a pivotal role in reviewing and refining moderate to complex tax returns prepared by junior colleagues. This position demands a collaborative approach, fostering a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Display a deep understanding of basic and moderate tax concepts, staying updated with the latest tax developments to enhance knowledge for colleagues.
  • Ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to junior staff members.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on day-to-day queries, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
  • Assist in tax research to develop a comprehensive understanding of tax theory and principles, applying them effectively to individual tax returns.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, facilitating seamless communication between teams in India and the US.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working on US individual tax returns with complex situations, particularly with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs).
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8621, 5471, 1116, 2555, 6252, and Passthrough reporting.
  • Able to manage a team and workflow effectively.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-6 years of experience in US Individual taxation (1040)
