International Tax Expert

The successful candidate will be part of our International Tax team, assisting clients on a wide range of corporate tax issues.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Taking ownership of client engagements and assignments.
  2. Handling client matters end-to-end related to Direct Tax Laws, including Tax Structuring, Tax Advisory, Compliance, and Litigation support.
  3. Analyzing and interpreting provisions under the Income Tax Act and International Tax treaties.
  4. Representing clients in assessments, appeals, and other income-tax matters before Tax Officers.
  5. Maintaining open litigation status, tax risks analysis, and defense strategy.
  6. Drafting submissions for tax assessments, appeals, penalty, show cause, revision, order giving effects, refunds, recovery, rectification, and other income-tax proceedings.
  7. Developing strong relationships with client management.
  8. Assisting seniors in executing and managing assigned engagements with team support.
  9. Proactively solving complex client tax matters.
  10. Identifying opportunities in existing client pursuits and converting them.
  11. Coordinating with Seniors & Partner on assignment planning and management.
  12. Providing timely and high-quality services, managing client expectations.
  13. Updating clients on ongoing matters promptly and regularly, keeping track of industry developments.
  14. Taking technical sessions as per learning and development initiative.
  15. Effectively handling team members, which may include Associates/Trainees.
  • Qualifications:
  1. Qualified chartered accountants with experience in Direct Tax - Income Tax & DTAAs, International Tax.
  2. Working knowledge of FEMA & Corporate Law.
  3. Ability to handle tax office matters.
  4. Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification work experience.
  • Desired Skills:
  1. Staying updated with tax law amendments, judicial precedents, etc.
  2. Demonstrating innovative thinking in project management.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  5. Good interpersonal skills.
  6. Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  7. Passion for client servicing.
  8. Number crunching ability.
  9. Attention to detail and deliberation.
  10. Efficiency in MS Office and report drafting skills.
  11. Responsibility and ownership of clients/tasks assigned.
  12. A pleasing personality.
