Job Title: Middleware Administrator

Are you a skilled Middleware Administrator looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a talented professional to join our team at Awign Expert.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of middleware application software, including Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, and IBM WebSphere.
  • Patch management and Fixpack upgrade, adhering to company policies for Patch Management, Change Management, and other applicable processes.
  • Closure of reported open vulnerabilities within specified timeframes.
  • Performance monitoring and configuration changes.
  • Monitoring of CPU and memory utilization, providing daily reports and alerts.
  • Configuration of data sources for applications.
  • Assistance in production deployment.
  • Monthly reporting on authorized user access and seeking internal approvals.
  • Clustering and HA setup and maintenance on Web, App, and Rabbit MQ.
  • Backup and recovery on middleware.
  • Development of scripts to apply security best practices and hardening to middleware and messaging platforms.
  • Periodic backup and DR strategy for middleware and MQ configurations.
  • Implementation of monitoring standards, automated alerting, and integration with incident management tools.
  • Capacity planning and performance benchmarking exercises.
  • Handling escalations for high-impact P1 incidents.
  • Planning patch management and ensuring up-to-date inventory.
  • Generation of self-signed SSL certificates and key pairs for encryption and decryption.
  • Proof of concept exercises, vendor evaluations, and feasibility studies for new tools and products.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of hardware and associated peripherals.
  • Understanding of network and internet connectivity.
  • Understanding of information security.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in production support and monitoring functions.
  • Basic understanding of SDLC.
