Senior Fund Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a senior-level team responsible for closed-ended fund accounting operations.

  • Manage a team of fund accountants to provide comprehensive fund accounting services.
  • Oversee fund administrators and team members, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of fund accounting services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Private Credit Funds within the financial services sector. A strong understanding of credit fund structures is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex P&L allocations across multiple entities within fund structures.
  • Performing waterfall calculations and ensuring their accuracy.
  • Compliance with operational procedures and checklists.
  • Leadership, coaching, and professional development of team members.
  • Task allocation and delegation for optimal team efficiency.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement within fund accounting operations.
  • Team capacity management to support business growth.
  • Primary escalation point for client inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Effective communication with internal stakeholders and external counterparts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
  • 10+ years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 6+ years in Private Credit Funds Accounting.
  • Experience specifically in Private Credit Funds.
  • Experience with credit fund structures.
  • Cash Reconciliation, Expense Reimbursement.
  • Loan Accounting including JE's – Interest Accruals, PIK, Paydowns, Prepayments, Defaults, Amortization of OID, Premium, Discount.
  • Loan Lifecycle / Letter of Credit / Covenant Tracking / Loan Settlements.
  • Navigate NAV computation for Credit Funds.
  • Exposure to Performance Reporting, IRR (Gross & Net).
  • Partners Capital allocations, Partner Transfers, PCAP.
  • Financial Reporting (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, TB).
  • Waterfall Calculations, Hurdle Rate, Catch-up and Carry.
  • Familiar with Compliance Reporting, Investor related reportings.
  • Worked with Investran or similar fund accounting systems.
  • Ability to prepare SOPs / identify Process Improvement opportunities.
  • Exposure to Audit support and client deliverables.
  • Multi-entity / multi-currency structures.
