Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our data architecture on Azure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable and secure data pipelines using ADF for ETL processes.
  • Manage and optimize data warehousing solutions on Azure, ensuring efficient storage and performance.
  • Utilize Azure services like Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake for data processing and analytics.
  • Create and maintain data storage solutions, including Azure SQL Database, Data Lake Storage, and Blob Storage.
  • Develop and apply extensive knowledge of Python for data engineering tasks and automate data workflows.
  • Administer Azure databases, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Integrate data from various sources, both internal and external, for a unified data view.
  • Optimize data transformations for efficient storage and processing.
  • Implement data security measures on Azure to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Set up monitoring systems and alerts to proactively identify and address data-related issues.
  • Continuously optimize data pipelines and infrastructure for improved performance and cost efficiency.
  • Prioritize ADLS optimization, partitioning, shuffling, and shrinking techniques for efficient data management.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Document data engineering processes, best practices, and standards to ensure team adherence and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or related field.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Azure services, including ADF, Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Proficient in programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
