As a strategic contributor to the company's success, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability and performance of accounting and finance platforms.

This position is focused on delivering robust financial applications and data services that meet the demanding requirements of accuracy, compliance, and availability.

The Senior Engineer, Site Reliability (SRE) will work closely with software engineers, data engineers, and finance/accounting teams to ensure operational needs are met from development through production.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation solutions for deployments, monitoring, scaling, and self-healing capabilities to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging for accounting applications and data pipelines.
  • Lead and participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence of production issues.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and compliance controls in financial systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the development and deployment process.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, implementation plans, and testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance the overall system reliability and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve and refine existing processes and solutions.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • ~5-7 years of experience in site reliability engineering, devops, or production engineering, ideally supporting financial or mission-critical applications.
  • Strong experience with monitoring/observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and IaC tools.
  • Familiarity with snowflake, dbt, and financial system integrations from an operational support perspective.
  • Strong scripting/programming experience for automation and tooling.
  • Experience ensuring compliance, security, and audit-readiness in enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to work with databases.
  • Experience building resilience into data pipelines and ensuring auditability.
  • Broader knowledge of emerging frameworks and tools in cloud and finance tech.
