About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to contribute to the development of cloud-native products and services for our Kubernetes product ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, experience with cloud-native technologies, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the product roadmap.
  • Develop cloud infrastructure deployments using Platform9 products, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our product line.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with programming in Python or Golang.
  • 8-12 years of experience in a software development role.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, switching, routing, and network protocols.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in developing networking products (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes or Openstack/Devstack is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Linux networking stack, kernel modules, and device drivers is a plus.
