Senior PLM Migration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PLM Migration Specialist to lead and manage comprehensive data migration initiatives in Teamcenter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data migration projects across various versions and platforms, ensuring seamless business continuity.
  • Evaluate legacy systems and devise effective migration strategies, minimizing disruptions.
  • Design and implement robust ETL workflows for efficient data migration, leveraging tools like PLMXML, TCXML, ITK, SOA, Java, and Python.
  • Manage large-scale datasets, encompassing data mapping, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret migration requirements, fostering open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Leverage scripting languages like Java and Python to automate and streamline migration activities, increasing productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-migration testing, resolve errors, and implement performance tuning measures to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain detailed documentation covering migration methodologies, best practices, and technical solutions, serving as a valuable resource for future projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in Teamcenter PLM data migration projects, demonstrating expertise in migration automation and process optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Teamcenter Unified Architecture (UA)
    • PLMXML and TCXML formats
    • ITK, SOA, Java, and/or Python scripting for migration automation
    • Data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex, high-volume Teamcenter migrations successfully, with a track record of delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
