Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality user interfaces using Django templates.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Django ORM, mastery of Django's template language, familiarity with Django REST framework, and experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stay up-to-date with industry best practices, and troubleshoot and debug issues to enhance application performance.

In addition, the candidate should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality Django web applications, ensuring performance and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate user interfaces with server-side logic.
  • Implement and maintain data storage solutions using Django ORM.
  • Manage RESTful APIs and ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end components.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent user experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to enhance application performance.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Django ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) for efficient database handling.
  • Mastery of Django's template language for generating dynamic HTML content.
  • Familiarity with Django REST framework for building Web APIs.
  • Knowledge of class-based views to organise application logic.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of security features in Django (e.g., XSS protection, CSRF protection).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred).
