Music Teacher Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Music Teacher to join our dynamic academic team.

  • The ideal candidate should have in-depth subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a student-centric teaching approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons for Grades 11 and 12 in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
  • Design and evaluate assessments that test conceptual understanding and analytical skills.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to encourage student participation and critical thinking.
  • Use modern teaching aids and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Identify students' strengths and areas for improvement and provide academic support accordingly.
  • Prepare students for board examinations and competitive entrance exams.
  • Maintain student records and communicate progress to parents during PTMs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Music from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
  • Strong command of the English language, spoken and written.
  • Proficient in digital tools such as smart boards, Google Classroom, MS Office, etc.
