Job Description

We are seeking an experienced backend developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of programming languages and tools, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing current code and industry developments, formulating more efficient processes, solving problems, and creating a seamless experience for users.

  • Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience.
  • Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
  • Record data and report it to clients or leadership.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices and learn new programming languages.
  • Take lead on projects, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10-14 years of experience with primary expertise in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with JavaScript front-end technologies.
  • A strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
  • A focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently or with a group.
