Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and document existing relational data models, focusing on Oracle-based systems and legacy applications.
  • Identify dependencies, shared schemas, and tightly coupled data entities across business domains.
  • Define target-state logical and physical data models.
  • Design data partitioning, ownership boundaries, and communication patterns between microservices.
  • Collaborate with application architects and integration teams to ensure proper data security, compliance, normalization, and performance in target-state models.
  • Develop strategies for data migration, transformation, and reconciliation during the separation process.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Oracle (PL/SQL, schema design, performance tuning).
  • 3+ years of experience designing data models for microservices or distributed architectures.
