**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced trade finance professional to join our team as a subject matter expert.

This role will involve providing domain expertise, guiding product development, and ensuring compliance with international trade finance standards.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of trade finance instruments, including letters of credit, bills of exchange, and invoices.

They will also be able to define and validate workflows for trade finance instruments, provide compliance and regulatory inputs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Additional responsibilities include validating AI/ML-driven outputs, supporting VAPT and audit activities, and preparing use-case scenarios and test cases.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
  • 5–10 years of experience in trade finance operations, compliance, or consulting (banking/financial institution background preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade finance instruments (LC, BG, invoice financing, supply chain finance).
  • Strong understanding of UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, AML/KYC, FEMA regulations, and SWIFT messaging standards.
  • Experience working with core banking/trade finance platforms (e.g., Finacle Trade, EximBills, TI Plus).
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business teams and technical developers.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  1. Act as the domain expert for trade finance in platform development, ensuring alignment with banking practices and regulatory compliance.
  2. Define and validate workflows for trade finance instruments (LCs, Bills of Exchange, Invoices, Bills of Lading, Import/Export documentation).
  3. Provide compliance and regulatory inputs, including UCP 600, ISBP, FEMA, AML, KYC, OFAC, and ICC guidelines.
  4. Collaborate with product, technology, and client teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  5. Validate AI/ML-driven outputs such as OCR accuracy, anomaly detection, and classification of trade documents.
  6. Support VAPT, audit, and risk assessments from a trade finance domain perspective.
  7. Prepare use-case scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria for new product features.
  8. Assist in client onboarding discussions, demos, and training sessions.
  9. Advise on business continuity requirements for trade finance operations.
  10. Stay updated on the latest trade finance trends, regulations, and digital transformation initiatives.
