Job Title: Lighting Designer

We are seeking a skilled and creative Lighting Designer to join our team. As a Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing lighting systems that enhance the aesthetic and functionality of our smart home products.

About the Role
  • Design and implement lighting systems for smart home products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality designs that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Conduct thorough research on new lighting technologies and innovations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in lighting design.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Ability to create lighting concept presentations using various software tools.
  2. Develop lighting drawings on CAD or sketches from plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  3. Manage & coordinate application design with clients and third parties, and internally.
  4. Calculate luminous output and intensity of the lighting system, make layout plans, work drawings, and documentation of the lighting applications.
  5. Edit 3D renderings to show simulated lighting scenes of the design intent.
  6. Research new lighting solutions and innovations.
  7. Using Dialux Evo & Photoshop, to do lighting simulations for presentation, reports as a project requirement, and for validation of the design proposed.
  8. Lighting project management and site coordination
  9. Coordinate projects with Architects, Designers, and Clients on-site and remotely.
  10. Manage, coordinate, and supervise the installation of the light fixtures to meet the client's expectations when needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design or Architecture.
  • Minimum three years of experience in lighting design and/or architecture, preferably in a studio environment.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC (especially InDesign & Photoshop), AutoCAD, Dialux, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of Rhino and Revit is advantageous.
