Job Title: Data Engineering Tester

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced data engineering tester to fill this key position.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and data engineering with a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand requirements from high-level design documents and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Set up ETL jobs in regression effort and flow execution in Autosys and Mainframe.
  • Analyze and assign tasks to team members on a daily basis, actively participating in DSU calls and defect review meetings.
  • Create effective SQL scripts to validate change data capture logic in Teradata.
  • Automation script module creation in TOSCA to execute regression scripts.
  • Execute test scripts and upload results to Qtest/QC.

Requirements:

  • Overall testing experience years with a focus on data engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Cloud platform.
  • Working knowledge of structured and unstructured file formats including Avro files and Parquet files.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of SQL language.
  • Experience working with large data sets and analytical skills.
  • Prior ETL testing experience is highly desirable.
