Financial Expert for US Legal Entities

Job OverviewThis position will play a key role in performing Controllership activities in support of the US Legal Entities. You will work closely with the SDL team to support critical business initiatives and provide accounting and reporting decision support as part of a world-class controllership organization.
About the RoleThe Financial Analyst will be responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Additionally, they will perform preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure.
The position involves preparing and reviewing US GAAP financial statements, trend analysis, variance analytics, and commentary. This also includes preparing and reviewing BHC submissions, performing and reviewing specialized accounting procedures, including reconciliations.
You will ensure quality and change control over financial-related processes, including regulatory reporting and compliance, and intercompany transactions. Identifying and executing critical quality initiatives to continuously improve financial processes and add value to the company are also key responsibilities.
In addition, you will perform impairment analysis of various strategic investments held by AXP along with timely recording of their Mark to Market entries. Leading and managing M&A activity impacting the US Legal entities is another important aspect of this role.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with leadership, auditors, and regulators.
Key qualifications include 2-3 years of Finance, Accounting & Reporting experience, knowledge of US GAAP, and proficiency in Oracle and Essbase platforms.

Earnings PotentialYour estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000, based on your location, experience, and performance. Please note that actual earnings may vary depending on individual circumstances.
