About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our fast-paced data-driven team. This is a remote opportunity ideal for professionals with strong SQL development, data quality management, and data migration experience.

  • Analyze, debug, and resolve complex data issues across large databases in a production environment.
  • Write advanced SQL queries using joins, CTEs, window functions, temp tables, and nested queries.
  • Perform schema-level fixes and implement rollback logic using tools like Phinx, Flyway, or Liquibase.
  • Collaborate with product and QA teams to validate fixes, create data validation test cases, and ensure reproducibility.
  • Document root cause analysis (RCA) clearly and communicate solutions with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Advanced SQL Development skills – strong hands-on experience with complex joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
  2. Data Remediation Expertise – proven ability to debug and fix production data issues.
  3. Database Migration & Rollback Experience – familiarity with schema migrations and rollback tools.
  4. Data Validation & QA – ability to design and execute validation steps to ensure accuracy.
