Network Security Professional

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, this role plays a critical part in designing, deploying and validating our network services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies including SDWAN, SD Security, SSE, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, Multicast and switching.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement network designs that meet the organization's needs and future growth.
  • Solutioning: Assist in analyzing and responding to client requests, developing and executing proofs of concept, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address customer requirements, and validating design solutions to ensure they meet the customer's requirements and are technically feasible.
  • Support: Provide engineering support for the network infrastructure, including troubleshooting network issues and ensuring network security.
  • Project Management: Lead network-related projects from conception to completion. This includes managing resources, timelines and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of network engineers. This includes providing technical guidance, conducting performance reviews and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • System Enhancements and Migration: Ensure timely rollout of system enhancements, migration, deployment and optimization projects.
  • Integration and Validation: Involved in planning, architecture designing, developing, testing solutions and service products riding on network or across multiple network layers, performing integration with existing systems and conducting service validation prior to hand over to operations team.
  • Performance Tuning and Automation: Ensure engineering projects completed within target dates within budget and agreed scope. Performance tuning and automation of application.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of networking technologies including SDWAN, SD Security, SSE, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, Multicast and switching.
  • Experience: Experience in at least 2 of the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) products - Versa, Palo Alto Prisma, Zscaler, Netskope. Experience in at least 1 of the Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) - AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team of network engineers.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, backup, network, security) and application architecture and deployment.
  • System and Platform Deployment: Experience in system and platform deployment over the network layers.
  • Network Security: Knowledge of network security and its applications.
  • Skill Set: A quick learner in keeping up to date with technology trends. Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised, meet multiple deadlines to address multiple issues. Ability to build consensus and agreement between different parties. High level of written and spoken accuracy and attention to detail. Good communication skills, both written and verbal particularly with regard to communicating technical issues to a non-technical audience.
