Job Opportunity: Risk AnalystWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Risk Analyst in London.The Role:
  • Preparing daily credit and market risk reports for senior management.
  • Producing risk analysis and inputs for management committee packs to ensure robust oversight.
  • Reviewing and sending out limit breach notifications to stakeholders.
  • Conducting thorough credit analysis of new and existing clients to assess creditworthiness.
  • Responding to ad hoc queries on limit utilisation and counterparty risks.
  • Providing margin rates and monitoring margin levels, escalating issues as needed to prevent financial losses.
  • Supporting colleagues in the absence of risk analysts or market risk leads to ensure seamless operations.
  • Training graduate analysts rotating through the team to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Assisting with ad hoc risk initiatives and projects to drive business growth and success.
You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Legal, Compliance, Operations, Front Office, Treasury, and Trade Support to achieve shared goals.Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of capital markets fundamentals, including mark-to-market and settlement processes to inform strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge and experience of equity and fixed income products to provide expert advice.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience writing macros is advantageous to streamline processes.
  • Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements is beneficial to understand financial performance.
  • Bachelor's degree (2:1 minimum) in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field to demonstrate academic excellence.
Systems Exposure:
  • Microsoft Office to maintain productivity.
  • Bloomberg to stay up-to-date with market trends.
  • Risk Portal to monitor and manage risk exposure.
  • CRMS to track and analyze customer data.
