Piping Engineer Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer to join our team. As a Piping Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing piping systems for energy projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and objectives.
  • Design and develop piping systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical specifications to determine suitable piping solutions.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings including isometric and orthographic views.
  • Perform stress analysis and calculations to ensure piping system integrity and safety.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping systems.
  • Review and approve vendor documents and drawings.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor installation and performance of piping systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues or discrepancies during design construction or operation phases.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

Proven experience as a Piping Engineer in the energy industry.

Strong knowledge of piping design principles codes and standards ASME ANSI API etc.

Proficiency in using piping design software AutoCAD SolidWorks etc.

Familiarity with stress analysis software CAESAR II ANSYS etc.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Professional engineering license is preferred.
