Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

  • This is a critical role for our organization as we continue to expand our data capabilities and drive business growth through data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, as well as working with Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) to process structured and unstructured data. The ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and analytics is also essential.

A strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including star schema and snowflake schema, is necessary, as well as proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.

Bonus points for experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake, as well as real-time data streaming technologies like Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Ingestion: Design and develop scalable data ingestion pipelines to capture and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Data Storage: Collaborate with the database team to design and implement optimal data storage solutions in our data warehouses/lakes.
  • Data Analytics: Develop efficient ETL processes to integrate data into our data warehouses and deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely insights to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Big Data Technologies: Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HDFS, Kafka, and other Big Data ecosystems.
  • Data Warehousing: Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including star schema and snowflake schema.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake.
