Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science professional to join our team as a Vice President, Data Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy that aligns with business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that includes data model designs, database development standards, and implementation of cloud/data warehouses and data analytics platforms.
  • Identify data sources, both internal and external, and develop a plan for data management that aligns with the organizational data strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the smooth functioning of the Analytics data platform.
  • Manage end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform to designing the technical architecture and developing the application.
  • Plan and execute big data solutions using cloud/on-premise technologies.
  • Define and manage the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
  • Ensure data governance and integrate technical functionality to ensure data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
  • Conduct continuous audits of data management system performance and report any breaches or loopholes to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent.
  • Knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches, and requirements, design, and testing techniques in cloud and on-premise platforms.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and design, data engineering, and database administration.
  • Understanding of Analytics platform I production, including deployment of BI dashboards, ML algorithms, and APIs.
  • Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
