Cloud Data Engineer

Overview:

This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in cloud-based data engineering, focusing on Azure Databricks, Synapse, and ADF/Airflow. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, ensuring high performance, scalability, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Synapse, and ADF/Airflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for large datasets, complex data processing, transformations, business logic, cost monitoring, and performance optimization.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working on cloud-based data engineering using Azure Databricks, Synapse, ADF/Airflow.
  • Extensive experience with Azure Databricks (ADB), Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database (SQL DB), SQL, ELT/ETL Pipeline Development in Spark-based environments.
  • Experience in Real-Time Data Processing using Apache Kafka/EventHub/IoT, Structured Streaming, and Stream Analytics.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow for ELT Orchestration.
  • Experience with infrastructure management, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Experience with CI/CD, Version Control tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Platform.

Good to Have:

  • Experience/Knowledge on Containerization - Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in Agile Methodology.

Qualifications:

  • BE, MS, M.Tech, or MCA qualifications.
  • Certifications: Azure Big Data, Databricks Certified Associate.
